Three successive earthquakes jolted Hualien County of China's Taiwan Province Tuesday, with the strongest one registering 6.2 on the Richter scale.
The quake occurred between 11:27 and 12:00 Tuesday and was centered in the southeast of Hualien (23.77 degrees north latitude and 121.66 degrees east longitude). The quake depth reached 15.53 miles.
Residents in Taipei of the island province could feel the shock, and by now no casualties and damages were reported.
