Shanghai Sets up Special Anti-terrorism Troop
Descend from midair by rope in the waist, or shoot a bandit from hundred meters away...these anti-terrorism demonstrations on TV made special troops look all-powerful and mysterious.

An emergency anti-terrorism troop like this was set up in Shanghai on February 5, being the first of its kind in the city.

The special troop consists of over 60 members sorted out from Shanghai Armed Police General Troops, all of them imbued both with political integrity and possessing highly military skills. Equipped with advanced weapons, uniforms, communication and other special devices, the troop can launch effective attacks against terrorists who seriously harm public security by holding guns, explosives and poisons.

The Shanghai Armed Police General Troops have always been paying great attention to the building of emergency troops, which had ever played a positive role in cracking down on violent crimes. The anti-terrorism troop is founded under the instruction of Shanghai government considering the sophisticated situation in both China and the world.
