China Issues Stamps for Year of Horse
The State Administration of Posts and Telecommunications Saturday issued a set of special stamps for China's Lunar New Year, the Year of the Horse, which falls February 12, 2002.

The ceremony to mark the issuance, as well as the start of the China Folk Art Tourism Festival, was held Saturday in Baoji, in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

Baoji's Fengxiang County is home to traditional clay sculptures, which have a history of 600 years. A horse sculpture has been selected as the design for this year's special stamps.
