Twenty-two people died in a traffic accident that took place in Wanyuan County of southwest China's Sichuan Province on Monday afternoon, local police said.

A coach carrying 28 passengers fell down from a cliff in Wanyuan City at 3 clock pm Monday, killing 22 and injuring the other six.

The investigation into the accident is underway.
