Four Workers Killed by Poisonous Water in Shanghai

A pool of water feared to be contaminated with hydrogen sulphide killed four people working around it on Friday afternoon in the Qingpu District of Shanghai, said sources from the local Center for Disease Control (CDC).

The accident happened at around 1:00 p.m. when one of the four slipped into the pool and the other three jumped in to rescue him. They all failed to get out.

The four people were feared to be poisoned by the contaminated water. The pool is located at an industrial park and the local CDC has gathered a water sample from the pool for further examination.
