Two fishermen from China's Taiwan Province were saved out of danger off the seashore near Jinjiang City in south China's Fujian Province Thursday.
On Thursday morning, Mainland's frontier soldiers started rescue work immediately after receiving report by local people that a Taiwan fishing boat was in danger.
When discovered, the boat had tilted badly after floating for five hours due to engine breakdown.
Chen Dewen, one of the fishermen, said they set off to fish Wednesday night, but the boat engines broke down at the wee hours Thursday. Without any communication appliances, they could do nothing but let the boat float with waves.
The two fishermen were in stable condition. Their boat has been docked for repair.
