A recent report by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce shows that Zhejiang maintained its dominance in the private economy sector in China last year with its aggregate social output value, sales volume, exports and commodity registration all ranking first in the country as a whole.
According to the report, the private sector in Zhejiang Province reported a social output value of 742.7 billion yuan(US$89.8 billion) and a total sales volume of 589.2 billion yuan(US$71.2 billion) last year.
Exports of the private sector totaled at 88.4 billion yuan(US$10.6 billion)and 12,546 commodities got trademark registration in 2002, the report indicates.
