Macao police have seized 152 counterfeit 1,000 Hong Kong dollar bills (valued US$19,000) since last Tuesday, local media reported Wednesday.
The Macao Post Daily quoted police sources as saying that no arrest has so far been made.
The local law-enforcement agencies have been working with their counterparts in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland in the investigations, said the report.
Forged Hong Kong-dollar bills have also recently been seized in Hong Kong and 12 suspects have been detained there, according to the newspaper.
