At least 14 died and 24 others were injured in a vehicle collision in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local police said Wednesday.
The tragedy occurred at about 7:30 AM Tuesday when a bus carrying 32 people had a head-on bump into a heavy-duty truck at a section of the No. 304 state highway within the Jarud Banner (or county) of Inner Mongolia.
The two drivers were among the dead and both vehicles were badly damaged.
Initial investigation showed that the truck was running in opposition to the right course and caused the accident, according to the police.
Identification of the victims is underway.
