A 500-kilogram tank of chlorine  leaked at a waste materials market in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province, on Sunday. The tank had been at the market for years before it was opened accidentally.

Nine elderly people were rendered unconscious by the leak and were sent to hospital immediately. About 30 households were evacuated following the accident.
