There is the Lunar Registry in America for people to buy land on the Moon, and now here in the Chinese capital Beijing a "Lunar Embassy" has opened.
A local company calling itself "Lunar Embassy" claims that anyone can purchase an acre on the moon by paying 298 RMB, about 37 US dollars. According to the company, customers will receive a certification from the company that ensures their property ownership including rights to use the land and minerals three kilometers underground.
The CEO of the company, Li Jie didn't clarify the relationship between the company and the Lunar Embassy in America, but said he has spoken to its founder Dennis Hope before.
Buying an extraterrestrial property obviously is a new thing for most Chinese people. But one man told reporters that it was not to be believed, and he wouldn't consider purchasing.
