Policemen shot dead one knife-swaying robber who resisted arrest Wednesday morning when chasing and trying to seize him at a residential quarter in the eastern Chaoyang District in this national capital.
The suspect committed grave robbery and theft, according to a local police source. And policemen from the Tongzhou public security sub-bureau, an eastern suburban district of Beijing, were about to capture him when the robber swayed his knife to resist arrest.
The policemen fired a warning shot before shooting him dead, the police said.
The case is being investigated.
