The Agricultural Development Bank of China will provide central China's Hubei province with loans totaling 30 billion yuan (US$3.6 billion) between 2005 and 2007 to support its agricultural production, circulation and technological upgrading. According to Zhou Jianwei, provincial deputy governor, the loans will be a support to stimulate the province's agricultural development and help ease the financial "bottleneck" restricting the further development of key agricultural businesses. The province has done a lot in recent years to support the development of the province's key agricultural businesses, 22 of which have been listed as "state-class key enterprises."
