A total of 42 construction workers were suspected of being food-poisoned in Buji in Luogang on Tuesday.

They were sent to Luogang Hospital on Tuesday morning. Two of them are still in hospital for further observations, the Daily Sunshine reported Tuesday.

A worker surnamed Huang told the newspaper he felt dizzy and came down with a stomachache shortly after eating beans and rice porridge. Many of his co-workers also suffered headaches and diarrhoea after breakfast.

The workers were suspected of eating contaminated food, but the final result would be released after tests.
