China's top auditor Li Jinghua says this year's reform of the State Auditing Administration has seen the best results in 20 years.
He says in recent years, the administration has targeted the central ministries, stressing reform should take place from the top down.
He adds that enhancing auditing transparency and publicizing auditing results are the best ways of promoting the reform.
Since early this year, the State Auditing Administration has publicized capital malfeasance problems in certain ministries. (CRI November 29, 2004)
