A fire in an oil refinery at Daqing Petrochemical Subcompany in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province killed two people and left five others missing Wednesday morning.
The blaze was ignited by a glitter accidentally while workers was maintaining a water jar at the refinery's sulfur recovering workshop at 9:44 AM, and it was finally extinguished at 10:55 AM Wednesday.
Shortly after the accident, leading officials of the provincial safety production supervision administration, trade union organization and procurators' office rushed to the scene to directrescue effort, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
