More Foreign-capital Insurers to Enter China

A senior Chinese official said more foreign capital insurers will enter the Chinese market, which can deepen the cooperation between China's insurance industry and the world capital market.

Chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission Wu Dingfu said that China's insurers can raise money from international markets via listing and exploring ways to invest in global markets with their own money.

At the same time, he stressed the development of China's insurance market and international capital market should be gradual.

And he pointed out that China should make more efforts in training insurance agents to meet international standards and raise the commission's regulating powers.
