Global consultancy firm Deloitte, Touche and Tohmatsu says about 50 Chinese enterprises are expected to jostle into the Global Top 500 before 2009. The firm made the forecast while announcing that it will invest US$150 million in China.
It will be the largest regional investment by the company since it was founded over 100 years ago.
The company says China's development has a bright and vigorous future, and more and more Chinese enterprises are reforming in efforts to enhance their competitiveness.
It plans to increase its staff in China to four times its current level within five years.
