Menlo Worldwide Logistics, a fully-service contract logistics company, announced on February 20 in Hong Kong that they and Guangdong Postal Logistics have signed a letter of intent to cooperate jointly on logistics in southern China and globally.
Robert Bianco, president and chief executive officer of Menlo Worldwide Logistics, said in a press conference that the two companies are expected to sign a master service agreement in March 2004.
Both companies will provide access to their respective infrastructure to develop new opportunities and enhance existing customer relationships, Bianco said.
The complimentary relationship, which will provide Guangdong Postal Logistics with access to a world-class global logistics network and Menlo Worldwide with a wide-ranging distribution infrastructure in the key manufacturing and consumer markets in the Chinese mainland, will explore joint synergies for both companies, he said.
Menlo Worldwide Logistics is one of the supply chain service providers operating under the Menlo Worldwide Brand. Menlo Worldwide is one of the world's leading global logistics, transportation and supply chain management companies.
Guangdong Postal Logistics is a company owned by the Guangdong Postal Bureau, the postal service of Guangdong Province, on the Chinese mainland.
