Imports of automotive products grew by 86.7 percent year-on-year to reach US$13.117 billion in the first eleven months of this year, according to the General Administration of Customs.
This included US$4.683 billion for complete vehicles, 2.728 billion for key components, and 5.706 billion for parts and accessories.
China imported 155,761 complete vehicles (including CKD kits) in the same period, up 37.9 percent year-on-year. Of the total, 92,511 were sedans and 37,381 were off-road vehicles. (Xinhua News Agency December 24)
