A global research and development center for mobile electronics and transportation technology provider Delphi is opening in the Pudong New District of East China's Shanghai city. 
 
The center with total 1,400 staff members will be the company's fifth largest research and development center.

Upon completion, it will reach world standards in terms of design, integration and development capability.

The center will not only provide services to Chinese clients, but also to customers outside China.
