The Guangzhou-based Tianhe Software Park said on Wednesday it is planning to list in the HongKong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
The park is currently taking part in the ongoing Information Infrastructure Expo being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The park's bidding arm, the Guangzhou Software Engineering Projects Bidding Center, is a quasi-official organization to promote the use of high-tech, software, information technology support to small-and-medium-sized enterprises at competitive prices there.
In an interview with Xinhua, the Guangzhou Software Engineering Projects Bidding Center's Managing Director Chen Guanghui said it has already forged a close cooperative relations with the Trade Development Council in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
Chen said, "By taking part in this exhibition, we feel we are strengthening communication with various parties. The Hong Kong Productivity Council, in particular, conducts assessments for enterprises, and it encourages mainland enterprises to list in the HKSAR."
Cheng said the Tianhe Software Park is seeking to list in the HKSAR, but he stopped short of giving a timetable.
