China starts to impose temporary anti-dumping measures from Tuesday against imports of caprolactam made in Japan, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced in a statement.
MOFTEC said the decision has been made upon the conclusion of an anti-dumping investigation initiated on December 7, 2001.
The investigation revealed that imports of caprolactam made in the above-mentioned countries, which is listed under "2933.7100" in the tariffs of China's General Administration of Customs, caused substantial damage to industries in China, according to the statement.
Importers of such products should pay cash deposits from Tuesday to the Customs of the People's Republic of China in accordance with the decision, MOFTEC said.
