Twelve Hong Kong companies and three Chinese mainland companies which were listed in this year's "200 Best Small Companies" by Forbes Global attended the award ceremony held Wednesday.
The 12 companies in Hong Kong are Cafe De Coral Holdings Ltd, Convenience Retail Asia Ltd, Denway Motors Ltd, Fountain Set Holdings, Global Sources Ltd, Kin Yat Holdings Ltd, King Board Chemicals Holdings, Kingmaker Footwear Holdings Ltd, Techtonic Industries Company, Texwinca Holdings Ltd, the Kowloon Motor Bus Holdings Ltd and Tungtex Holdings.
Asia Aluminum Holdings Ltd, Wah Sang Gas Holdings Ltd and XinaoGas Holdings Ltd were three winning companies in the Chinese mainland.
There is a total of 51 companies from the Asia Pacific region which were listed among the 200 best small companies.
In addition, Forbes Asia also presented the "Outstanding Achieve Award" to famous Hong Kong pop star Andy Lau in recognition of his achievement, saying that his efforts for excellence and continuous improvement has made him a role model for young people in Asia and beyond.
These 200 companies were selected by Forbes Global from over 20,000 publicly quoted companies with revenues of under US$1 billion. The selection is based on profitability, earnings and sales growth.
