The Fourth International Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition closed yesterday in Yantai in East China's Shandong Province, resulting in the signing of 91 foreign-funded projects, involving US$1.05 billion in contractual foreign investment.
According to a press conference held yesterday, there were 32 contracts that were over US$10 million.
The foreign trade value was reported at US$714 million, including US$586 million in exports.
In 713 booths, more than 40,000 participants from home and abroad have brought the latest developments in fruit and vegetable production and processing. Statistics show that more than 200,000 people visited the fair.
Foreign delegations, from 40 countries and regions, including 10 of Yantai's friendship cities, have created many business opportunities for the event.
