Exhibitors say the ongoing 2002 China International Expo of IT for the Manufacturing Industry will be a fine venue for information technology solution suppliers to forge cooperative ties with the nation's manufacturers.
The expo is sponsored by the Leader Group of the State Programme of IT Application in the Manufacturing Industry and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The expo is jointly managed by the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department and the Dongguan municipal government.
The event began yesterday in this city and will end on Sunday.
Delegates from 36 provinces, autonomous regions and cities representing more than 600 enterprises are showing off their competitive products and seeking co-operative opportunities.
Solutions, support and training programmes for several crucial technologies in the nation's manufacturing industry are the fair's highlights, said Wei Jianfeng, deputy director of the Ministry of Science and Technology's High- and New-tech Development Department.
Because the expo showcases China's achievements in IT applications in the manufacturing industry, it is a golden venue for IT solution suppliers to forge co-operative ties with manufacturing enterprises, and vice versa, several exhibitors said.
