Korean Week, a business fair to promote cooperative ventures between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and China's Liaoning Province, opened in Shenyang on Friday.
Visiting ROK government officials and business representatives will take part in activities in this traditional industrial base in northeast China and confer with Chinese partners on cooperative projects.
The ROK is Liaoning's third largest trading partner at present among over 160 export markets. It ranks fourth in the province's overseas investors.
Statistics show that there are more than 4,600 ROK-funded businesses in Liaoning, with a contractual capital of US$4.18 billion, involving electronics, iron and steel making, chemicals, machine-building, food, textiles and other industries.
The fair, jointly sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial Government and some ROK business organizations, is scheduled to close on July 15.
