Cathay Pacific Airways, Hong Kong's largest air carrier, was named Asia's best airline brand for the third straight year in the Reader's Digest magazine's SuperBrands 2002 Survey, according to reports reached in Hong Kong Thursday.
SuperBrand winners were selected in a region-wide poll of the magazine's subscribers. Readers were asked to both vote for their top brand and rate it according to five brand attributes which were quality, value, trustworthiness, image and having a strong understanding of customers' needs. The full survey results would be published in the May issue of the Reader's Digest.
Cathay Pacific's General Manager Corporate Communication, Alan Wong said, "We are delighted that our efforts to deliver the world's best airline product and service has been recognized by this prestigious award."
In addition to this award, Cathay Pacific was voted Best Airline-Asia in a global poll of more than four million travelers in March this year. That survey was conducted by UK-based consulting firm Skytrax. Cathay Pacific was at the same time voted Best Airline Trans-Pacific and ranked the number two airline in the world.
