Audi AG, the luxury arm of German auto giant Volkswagen AG, aims to double its exports to China this year.
According to Kevin McCann, head of Audi AG's China operation, the company's exports to China are expected to exceed 2,000 units this year, up from 1,000 last year, Saturday's China Daily reports.
The company released its target figure Friday, when it opened a 15,000-square-meter import specialized exhibition hall in Beijing in cooperation with one of its Chines dealers, namely Beijing BetterLife Automobile Import and Export Co.
Kevin McCann said the company delivered 250 Audi sedans to Chinese customers and received orders of 800 units during the first two months of this year.
Currently Audi AG exports its A8, A6, A4, TT Coupe and All-road Quattro sedans to China.
