Three Firms on List for China's First LNG Project
Three overseas suppliers were shortlisted by China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC),the nation's third largest oil company,for a US$10billion supply contract for China's first liquefied natural gas (LNG)project,according to today's China Daily.

The three firms includes Australia-based LNG Pty,BP Gas in Indonesia and Qatar's Ras Laffan Co,Zhen Bing,spokesman for CNOOC was quoted as saying.

Two of three suppliers would be finally rejected by the middle of this year.And the winner will supply three million tons of LNGreception terminal in south China's Guangdong province.

CNOOC once invited seven potential suppliers from Australia,Indonesia,Iran,Malaysia,Qatar,Russia and Yemen for the biddingin earlier time.
