NASDAQ President and CEO to Visit China

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. President and CEO Bob Greifeld will visit China beginning November 28. 

According to schedule, Greifeld will deliver an address at the prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing on November 30, while NASDAQ officials will also tour Tsinghua's Science Park, a university park dedicated to fostering innovation and development of intellectual property.

NASDAQ has been in operation in China for eight years and lists 22 Chinese companies on its market.  In 2005, NASDAQ captured six Chinese initial public offerings (IPOs) in such sectors like technology, media and healthcare. Companies that have listed with NASDAQ this year include Baidu.com, China Medical Technologies, Inc., China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Ltd, Comtech Group, Inc, Focus Media Holding Limited and Hurray Holding Co., Ltd.  NASDAQ trades more shares of Chinese-listed companies per day than any other US market.
