The fourth Changchun International Auto Expo will be held from August 5 to 14 in this capital city of northeast China's Jilin Province.
About 600 motor vehicles from 27 countries and regions will be displayed on the expo, said He Xingguo, deputy secretary general of the Changchun City Government, at a press conference held on Thursday.
The official said some renowned international automakers including Volkswagon, General Motors, Ford, Toyota and Hyundai have applied for the expo.
Vehicles on display will include concept cars, cross-country cars, sedan cars, sports cars, trucks, buses and vehicles for military use.
Eight top-level racing cars and six luxury cars valued more than five million yuan (about 600,000 US dollars) each will be displayed on the expo.
Also on show will be 20 veteran cars from US Veteran Cars Association, the official said.
The expo is co-sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Federation of Machinery Industry, China Auto Industry Association and the Jilin Provincial Government.
