CCB Chairman Quits for Personal Reasons

Zhang Enzhao, chairman of the China Construction Bank (CCB), has resigned from the posts of CCB chairman and director for personal reasons, CCB said in Beijing Wednesday.

A bank directorate meeting held on March 16 had approved Zhang's resignation application in a decision, which would take effect the same day, it said.

Chang Zhenming, vice chairman and president of CCB, will exercise CCB chairman's functions and powers before the new chairman is elected.
