China to Improve Telecom Services

China's telecom industry is urged to improve their services.

Vice minister of the Information Industry Xi Guohua says with the rapid development of the telecom industry, the public is calling for better services.

The ministry will try to work out stricter standards to regulate services and will do more to deal with customer complaints and right violation cases.

The telecom enterprises are also urged to strengthen self-discipline.

China's telecommunication industry has maintained robust growth in the past few years.

Last year, its earnings went up 12 percent year-on-year to 520 billion RMB or over 63 billion US dollars.
