Changan Ford has presented six new vehicles for the Chinese market with a publicity launch in the country's southernmost city Sanya. With the new arrivals and the launch last November of the new Maverick, Ford has completed its campaign to 'freshen' its product line-up in the fast growing Asian country.
The six updated new models launched include two completely new products: Fiesta 1.6 Sports MT and Mondeo GLX 2.0 MT, two substantially upgraded products: Fiesta 1.6 High AT, and Fiesta 1.6 Mid MT, and two upgraded and improved vehicles: Mondeo Ghia-X 2.0AT, and Mondeo Ghia-Limited 2.5 V6.
In addition, Changan Ford officially launched Ford's global auto service system, "QualityCare", into the Chinese market, as an important strategic measure to further sharpen its competitive edge in the market and to add a new source of income.
Changan Ford also revealed plans for across-the-board price realignment for Mondeo and Fiesta parts, which will see an average price drop of 10 to 35%. The new prices will take effect immediately.
