Speaking at a meeting of the China Securities Market over the weekend, Tu Shuguang, vice-chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, said the country continues its overhaul of the domestic stock market to promote the sustainable development of the capital market and open it wider to the overseas investors.
At the same time, he said the working process of the securities regulatory commission will become more transparent, especially in terms of background checks for new listings.
Representatives from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange also attended the meeting, saying that the healthy growth of the mainland capital market is vital to Hong Kong's interests.
