China will enhance cooperation with Argentina in the construction of railway, bridges, power stations and motorways, as well as agricultural projects, Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai said on Wednesday in Beijing where Bo held talks with Argentina's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rafael Bielsa.
Bo said that Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Argentina last year laid the groundwork for enhanced Sino-Argentina economic and trade cooperation.
Argentina has acknowledged China's market economy status, which makes Chinese enterprises more confident about cooperative prospects with Argentina, Bo said.
The trade and investment memorandum of understanding signed by the two countries last year has had positive effects, Bielsa said. He added that China has become Argentina's largest trading partner.
Bielsa welcomed more Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Argentina, saying his country attached great importance to economic ties with China.
Bielsa is in Beijing on a state visit.
