Chinese President Hu Jintao will travel to Moscow to attend the 60th anniversary celebration of Russia's Great Patriotic War against Nazism, the 2nd World War, on May 8 and 9.
Speaking at a news briefing, assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui says the Hu Jintao's presence will further the Sino-Russian strategic partnership and display China's peaceful image to the world.
Hu Jintao, along with other attendees will observe a military parade and pay homage to the martyrs of the 2nd World War. And he will hold talks with President Vladimir Putin and leaders from other countries.
Li Hui says leaders and officials from 51 countries across the world will take part in the ceremony, including the US, EU and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
