President Hu Sends Condolences to Mubarak over Terror Attacks

Chinese President Hu Jintao on Saturday sent a message of condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Hosni Mubarak to condemn the terrorist bomb attacks in the country which killed at least 83 people.

 

In the message, Hu, on behalf of the Chinese government and people and himself, expressed his deep condolences to the victims who were killed in the multiple car bombs in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on early Saturday.

 

He also expressed his sympathy and solicitude to the families and loved ones of the victims.

 

The president reaffirmed that the Chinese government is firmly against any sort of terrorism and will joint hands with the international community including Egypt to promote their cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

 

On early Saturday, three powerful bombs hit Sharm el-Sheikh, killing at least 83 people and wounding over 150 others, including foreigners. The terror attacks cruelly struck the country on its National Day.
