The Ninth National Women's Congress of China came to a close Tuesday in Beijing after completing everything on its agenda.
Resolutions on the work report of the Eighth Executive Committee of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and amendments to the federation's constitution were passed by its third session on the same day.
Vice Premier Wu Yi attended the closing ceremony, which was presided over by newly-elected ACWF Vice-President Huang Qingyi.
The five-day congress, held from August 22-26, was attended by more than 1,300 deputies from across the country. New leaders of the ACWF were selected in the congress.
The ACWF, established in 1949, is the largest women's organization in the country and holds its national congress every five years.
