Chinese Foreign Minster Tang Jiaxuan held phone conversations yesterday with foreign ministers Igor Ivanov of Russia, Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri of Pakistan and Hasan Wirayuda of Indonesia, respectively.
Tang and Ivanov exchanged new year's greetings and exchanged views on the nuclear issue of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and other issues of common interest.
Tang said that top leaders of China and Russia formulated a master plan for consolidating and deepening the Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation in their Beijing meeting early this month, injecting new impetus to the growth of bilateral ties.
In his phone conversations with Kasuri and Hasan, Tang also sent new year's greetings and exchanged views with them on Sino-Pakistani and Sino-Indonesian ties, respectively.
Kasuri said the new Pakistani government will as always adhere to the policy of developing all-around cooperation with China.
Hasan reiterated that the Indonesian government firmly adheres to the one-China policy and will make concerted efforts with China for developing long-term, friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
