Turkey is ready to expand trade with China, the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said Thursday.
The statement came after State Minister Tunca Toskay returned from China, where he attended the 14th China-Turkey Joint Economic Committee (JEC) meetings.
The Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said that the JEC meetings revealed that trade volume could be further increased between the two countries and that there were significant exportation possibilities for Turkey in China.
Positive results were yielded during those meetings held in Beijing on April 4-5 and from a Shanghai fair, which attracted 35 Turkish firms, according to the Foreign Trade Undersecretariat.
Among Turkey's list of major exports to China are hazelnut, tobacco, leather, electrical devices, auto spare parts, textile chemicals, construction materials, glass, telecommunication equipments and jewelry.
