Just to say, I am sorry for what happened to the Chinese pilot. Not all people in the west think like George W. Bush. It is wrong for the United States to fly so near to the Chinese coast. In the Right-wing newspapers in Britain, they also criticize China for executing criminals, but it is strange that they are not as critical of Arab countries that execute people. That is because they get oil from them.

I do not think it is the business of the west to attack Chinese domestic policies. The reason why criminals in Britain do such bad things is because the government is too weak with them. For example, young people swear,spit and attack our old people. They should be stopped from being so bad.

China has suffered in the past from western imperialism, and it is right that China should defend herself. But I think that our countries can live in peace; there are good people in every country. Unfortunately, the world now has the terrible George W. Bush as United States President. The American people showed their general stupidity in electing him. He is a man of confrontation. He even alienates Europe, America's supposed allies. He only cares about the rich capitalists of America and not the rest of the world. He has no concern for the environment, only his rich friends in the oil industry. Anyway, he cheated to become President. Al Gore would have been more friendly to other countries. China and the rest of the world just have to be patient until the American people see what harm Bush causes. They need to elect a decent person of world class status.

I hope China accepts that many people in the west want to be your friends, and that people such as Bush are hated in the west also.

I tried searching for the Honorable President Jiang Zemin's contact email but to no avail. We decided use your newspaper as our voice to&about him.

I wanted to let them know that their voices could be heard. Additionally, I tried not to be partial to either China or the USA.

Since their initial writing of the letters, the US has apologized and the US Aries II crew members have returned home, which were the very sentiments of the students.

America should also stay out of the Taiwan/China problems, because if they do, they will most probably cause World War Three, as china has always stated that Taiwan is a rebel state.
