Okosa Reggie registered game-high 31 points and snatched 18
boards to boost the Shanghai Sharks to an away win, 100-77, over
the Bayi Rockets in the 43rd round of the CBA regular season on
Sunday evening.
Wang Yong made 4-of-4 three pointers and tallied 18 points for
Shanghai, which has their five-game losing streak snapped. Wang
Sizhang had 18 points and Liu Wei added 17 points in the win for
the Sharks.
Li Ke paced the Rockets with 22 points and four rebounds off the
bench. Hu Ke was the only one Bayi starter reaching double figures
with 14 points. The Rockets have lost two of their last three
games.
Shanghai led by 7 points after the first stanza and sparked a
17-4 run in the early second period to extended the cushion to
41-21. Bench players Chen Ke and Li Ke came strong to help
the Rockets cut the deficit to 49-34 after half.
Bayi never got closer than 10 points during the third quarter.
Okosa Reggie and Liu Wei's shots capped a 10-2 spurt for the Sharks
and gave them an 22-point lead at 77-22 into the final period.
Also on Sunday, Liang Wei notched 34 points as the Shaanxi
Kylins beat the Henan Dragons for a 110-83 home win. Shandong lost
to Xinjiang at home 114-103. The Jilin Northeast Tigers downed the
hosts Beijing Ducks 104-93 for their third straight win. On
Wednesday, the Tigers will take on the Liaoning Hunters in a road
game, a decider for the third place in the north conference.
