On His Majesty's Secret Service (Danei Mitan Linglinggou), Hong Kong director Wong Jing's latest work will hit the big screen on July 30.

Wong promised at a press conference on Thursday that the performance would make viewers smile every minute, laugh every three minutes and laugh their heads off at least three times.

Hong Kong heartthrob Louis Koo (pictured) plays the leading character, Zero Zero Dog, a secret service agent protecting the emperor. Dog spends his time, not doing kungfu, but coming up with scientific inventions. When Dog uncovers an evil plot to kill the emperor, he decides to kill the enemy using his wits instead of fists.

The film is a remake of superstar comedian Stephen Chow's 1996 film Big Inside Cop Ling Ling-fat (Danei Mitan Linglingfa). Wong calls Koo the next Chow, saying his good looks are actually an obstacle for his comedy talent.

Taiwan actress Barbie Tsu takes on a comedy for the first time, playing Koo's lover.

Wong is known for being a prolifically successful Hong Kong film director.
