Chinese actress Zhou Xun asked the media to stop speculating about a recent breakup while she attended a publicity campaign as a brand spokeswoman for Wrigley Chewing Gum on Friday in Beijing.

It was her first public appearance since she announced on June 24 that she had split up with Taiwan fashion stylist Li Daqi with whom she had a five-year relationship.

Zhou stuck to her "eco-friendly" image by wearing a white T-shirt and green slacks to the event. When asked about her former romance with Li, the low-profile actress said she already discussed it in her printed statement.
