The annual Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards was held on June 28 (local time) in Los Angeles. The gala became a tribute to Michael Jackson with star singers, including Beyonce, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown, giving special performances in order to honor the legacy of the King of Pop. Michael Jackson's sister Janet Jackson showed up on the stage at the end of the show, and his father Joe Jackson also attended the event. Oscar-winning actor/singer Jamie Foxx hosted the show.
