A cooperation project was signed in Taiwan in March, which allows mainland TV series makers go to Taiwan to shoot TV dramas. Since then, Taiwan film making companies have taken further steps to strengthen their cooperation with mainland filmmakers.

Kuo Tai-qiang, the CEO of Taiwan's China Film Company, has launched a project with mainland. He says his company has contacted with film makers in the mainland to jointly promote Taiwan films to the world.
A cross-straits film forum will also be held in Taiwan in October. Preparations for the forum are underway.
During the forum, film officials from both sides will discuss the direction and ways of cooperation in the film industry between Taiwan and the mainland.
