'Desperate Housewives' director heads to Shanghai

The director of the hit TV series "Desperate Housewives" will visit Shanghai soon to share experiences with his Chinese peers at a US-Sino forum for TV show creators during the 15th Shanghai TV Festival.

David Warren, who has directed a number of episodes of "Desperate Housewives", is one of the US participants on the festival organizer's program for the China-US TV & Film Creativity Forum on June 11.

Also on the program is Deran Sarafian, a director of the hit TV series "House", and Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff, creators of "Eleventh Hour".

The names of the Chinese guests have not yet been finalized.

The festival will run from June 8 to 12.

Performers at the opening ceremony will include Chinese pop singers Sun Nan and Mao Amin and local comedian Zhou Libo.

Bosco Wong and Zhao Ziqi will be among the popular Chinese TV actors set to appear at a TV and film trade fair on June 9.
