An international music festival will be held in two different venues in Myanmar's former capital of Yangon next month, according to the French Embassy Tuesday.
The first day of the festival will take place at the French Embassy on June 13, while the second day's will be at the Inya Lake hotel on June 14, the sponsoring embassy said.
Musicians from Myanmar, France, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia as well as those from the British Council and American Center will entertain in the festival, it said.
Meanwhile, in February this year, world famous French Jazz musician Franck Mdioni and pianist Stephan Oliva staged performances at the French Embassy Alliance Francaise under the title of "Cine-concert" which showed of a silent film "The Unknown " with live music played by Oliva.
In the same month, a Francophone singing contest for amateur singers, whose native language is not French and are aged from 15 to 40 years, was also held in the French embassy.
